Well the time finally caught up with me and I ended up selling my baby. My family has grown to 3 kids now so the regular cab truck wouldn't cut it anymore, I now need a crewcab. I spent many years building my truck with lots of up's and down's along the way. This site has been awesome and I want to thank everyone who has ever helped me figure out a problem when I needed it.

I'm not a materilistic person, but selling this truck was probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do since I put so much time & money into building her. Since I got married over 8 yrs ago I had to sell my first cummins to buy a house for my wife and I, then I was able to buy my second one and once again I sold it to make the right decision for my family. I want to thank John, Clay and Scott at Floor it Diesel for all your hard work in helping me build my truck over the years, and to my fellow TDR member brandon (bbodammer) thanks for all your help as well. We had a lot of fun!

My dream was to build this truck to drag with but never got the chance because something was always going wrong. Oh well, I'll get another diesel later on in life again and start over. Atleast I learned a ton about these trucks while I had mine. Take care everyone and God Bless!

Mega cab?

Why not sell the baby... . and buy a Mega Cab. Its the perfect family vehicle. Convenence of a truck with darn near the room of an SUV. AND you can have the cummins. No need to leave the family because of your family. :-laf

I'll second that! [although, truth be told, my Mega is no longer my daily commuter either!] Good luck - I've been through 3 Cummins myself -

It's good to see your priorities are on track. Vehicles and posessions can (and will) come and go!

The kids can ride in the back!!! Just tell them not to get the fingers between the cab and bed... OUCH!!! Been there, done that! Lol!!

Best of luck to you and the family and many trouble free miles!!!

I agree with FIREFIGHTER2000, get the Megacab. I love mine. '06. More room in the back seat than a limo. Never have to apologize to back seat passengers for a tight seating place. And, you still have the CUMMINS. Mike in FL.

Just thinking back to when we were young. We were a family of 7 with a 1973 GMC regular cab. Mom and Dad sat in the front and us 5 kids sat in lawn chairs in back. Had a canopy but no sliders. Traveled tens of thousands of miles that way. Times have changed I guess.

CPS would have adopted all of your sorry arses to the top bidder by now in today's times #@$%!

I clearly remember a time WAY back in the early 80's when I was standing up in the front seat of a '77 GMC (2yrs old and a metal dash board... + seat belts never used) while telling my grandma where their new house was being built :D

Ahh... The memories!!! :)

Also forgot to add that the Mega woulda prevented the MANY arse whoopins from mom (RIP) while my dad was busy pointing out deer! Oo.

Kids today are lucky that the are out of reach of a mad mom!!!

Get the Mega Cab!

If you need to justify it... ... ... . you are gonna need something that can haul all the kids stuff aren't you?

Can't fit it all in the back of the ugh! minivan!

Good luck and God Bless

I'm back! I had to sell my '03 back in February to get a vehicle suited more for my growing family. I purchased a '11 Toyota Tundra Crewmax which I absolutly love! I missed my '03 so much and all the fun I had in building it up so I found a '95 12V that i just purchased today. So glad to hear that rattle I so came to love.

Crew Max?

A CREW MAX??!!??!! You could have bought a mega cab and had the same amount of room, and a bigger bed... AND stayed with a cummins. Ohh well, at least you HAVE a dodge cummins. Good luck with the new 95!

Best of luck Chris. I know we give a lot up for our families but in the end it's a small price to pay for a wonderful life with a family you created.

Cheers,
Scotty

You don't have to quit the TDR just because you don't have a Cummins. You have experience that others can benefit from and you can keep up with all the bs.
