I have owned three dually's with 5.9 Cummins in them Have been a member since 90's. two of my trucks were used one was brand new. All of them cost more to own than to buy. every part that could fail did except the front differential in all three trucks. All three were never modified in any way. I was very vigilant on doing maintenance and repairs. I kept thinking they would stop failing. they never did. the last one went through 2 the original motor and two remmaned motors and that was enough.

Whats the saying, if you didnt have bad luck you wouldnt have any luck at all? Youve had some bad luck. I've owned two since 2002 with not a problem (knock on wood) and the first one was highly modified. Good luck with the new chevy.

Sorry about your bad experiences with your Dodges. Personally, mine haven't been as reliable as my Fords to be honest.

I've heard nothing but good things about the new GM gas engines--that truck should serve you well for a long time.
