I am having the ubiquitous defective injector problems. My dealer Christopher Dodge is less than concerned about fixing it. The tech has got me a little worried also. He answer was to just plug it in for the cold mornings & suggested that the Power Service antigel I am using is the problem. Naturally, when I discontinued the PS & ran some "clean" tanks thru, the problems got worse. Severe stumbling long after cold soak starts. He also did not know that there are 3 injector events on the 3gens, which seems odd?

Also, I have heard that TST has indicated that the reflashTSB 18-037-04 has removed the 3rd event. Can anyone verify this?

So my biggest concern is getting a tech that really understands these injectors so that I can get this problem resolved w/o having the truck sit in the shop for a week. Since I need this truck for my daily work/income that kind of downtime is unacceptable. Any of you guys have these injector problems solved locally?

Thanks!

Mike

I have found that Medved Dodge in Castle Rock has a very good diesel tech and good service writers. I have not had good experiences with Christopher and had a buddy that was a gasser tech at Medved in CR. He is no longer there but, I will still take my truck back to their diesel tech even though I live all the way up north by Longmont.

Dick at Johnson Auto Plaza in Brighton hasn't offended me yet. When I asked what his opinion on Fuel additives was, he went back into the parts department and handed me a bottle. Said he swore by them, especially in the winter.

Thankfully, I've only needed fluids changed and a weather strip swap.
