Does anyone know of a Dodge dealer with a good diesel "tech" & service dept. in eastern Michigan? I just dropped my truck off for the 3rd time. I posted what it was doing in a previous post, and most of the replies said it was probably the APPS. the dealer said you guys don't know what you're talking about. So, after a new air filter & manifold pressure sensor (they said it wasn't covered under warranty) and connector (they said they both had corrosion on them), it still runs like crap. A lot of smoke till warmed up, and no power. I have to shut off key and restart and then the power comes back.

I hooked up a Cummins QuickCheck II and printed out the faults for them. That seems like a slick device. I have a new one for sale in the eng. classifieds. (I found a used one before I received the new one). Oh the faults I get are "fuel pump timing" & manifold pressure voltage low or shorted. Sorry I don't have the #'s with me.

I'm going to call the Dodge warranty 800# to see if I can get them to send it to a Cummins service center. Has anyone had any luck with that? Anyone have the Dodge # to call & complain about a dealer?

HDarga, Don't know if this helps you but I have had nothing but the best of service at Curtis Dodge in Cass City.

Had to have L/P, VP, and vacuum Pump, all at different times, replaced under warranty. Both Mike, the Service Manager, and the Mechanic have been excellent to work with.

Unfortunately, my second L/P is "headed south", so will be calling this morning for an appointment and hopefully another new one.

A number of GLTDR members and friends of mine have have great service at Genesee Valley Dodge in Flint. Terry is the service manager and has always been very helpful. We had a get together at the dealership once and they let us use one of their service bays for the day to install injectors and gauges on a guys truck.
