Good dealer service

Had a good experience at a local dealer, Southworth Dodge in Kent CT. Took the truck in for LOF, air and fuel filters as well as TSB's 18-004-04 (idle up using cruise) and 18-037-04 (mileage, white smoke and o-head inaccuracies).

Even though the service mgr was not familiar with the idle tsb he made it his business to find out. Everything done right, no scratches, no greasy prints, fair pricing. Idle up using cruise is super cool.



Noticed the smoother idle, less smoke, virtually all pinging gone and overhead showing 20. 5 after 35 miles on country roads at speeds from 35 to 50 mph. Couldn't be happier. I know he visits this site too, so, thanks Jamie.



Also DC sent an email stating they may have a fix for my vibes or at least are going to try again. Different dealer.

Hey FJ40Dave, I had a FJ55. Anyway, unsure as to what they are planning on the vibration fix. There have been some interesting and informative posts in the last few weeks regarding the vibes. That is the last remaining issue on my truck and I am praying they get it right. They told me to call the service manager, different dealer that where I just had the service done, but he was at a meeting and would not be back until Monday. As a former ASE Master, i won't be easily snowed. I probably could get under there and eventually come up with my own fix but why should I have to re-engineer their product. They built it, let them fix it, which may help someone else get theirs fixed. If everyone with the vibration problem just rolls over and accepts it, the 07 models will still have the problem. Nuff said!!
