Fuel leak after fillup

basic mods

I have been lurking around this board for a while and finally joined. What a great web site with tons of information and folks that seem willing to share their knowledge.

I just purchased a brand new 2002 Ram 2500 with the Cummins Turbo-Diesel and automatic transmission. I purchased this particular truck for a couple of reasons but mainly I wanted a tank like vehicle and the 2500 series with the diesel seemed to fill the bill quite nicely. The looks are nothing short of awesome and in black this rig looks bad-to-the bone.

Earlier in the year I was involved in a collision in which the driver of the other vehicle had a diabetic seizure, lost control of her car, jumped the medium and hit me head on. We were both doing 40 to 45 miles per hour at the time of impact. Both survived but I lost both of my feet below the knees. Through extensive therapy, a love of life, support of a loving wife and family, the best friends a man could ask for and Gods will, I am up and walking on prosthetics and doing fine. In August I will be returning to work.

Sorry for the long winded introduction but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!:D

Anyway I am really looking forward to being a part of this group.

GCraig, good to meet you. And great to hear that you're so far down the recovery road after what must have been a awful accident.

Welcome aboard,

Ronnie

GCraig

Good to hear from you! This board is a full of information and people that have things in common. We all come from different avenues but congrgate in front of our computer screens and read and talk with out saying a word. Glad to see you survived and that your on the road to recovery. Stay tuned in, Cheers. :)

The good Lord works in mysterious ways doesn't he? Glad to have you around, and should make a lot of us stop complaining about the little things we blow out of proportion.

Glad you survived what had to be an awful accident. Living on the highway for the last thirty years, I have seen more than my share. Always saddens me to be at an accident scene and realize that some bodys mother, father, sister, brother, wife, or husband won't be home tonight. Congradulations on a good recovery and welcome aboard.

Michael

Howdy Neighbor!

GCraig,

Welcome to the TDR!

We're "across town" from each other and I look forward to meeting you.

Good luck on your recovery!!

Thank you all for such a warm and friendly welcome. I also look forward to meeting some of you at get togethers and such. In the mean time I have some goodies on order including a Westach Boost/EGT gauge and a Westach dual temperature gauge for transmission fluid and engine oil temperature with the full dual A-pillar pod. So I have a couple of new upgrade projects to dive into once they arrive! Anyway love my new Dodge Cummins Turbo-Diesel truck in Black.

Bill Stockard - Please e-mail me the details on the Saturday morning breakfast. Once I am fully up and about I would enjoy attending.

Thanks again to all.

KPhillips - Sorry I missed your question at first pass. Argyle is just South of Denton between I35E and I35W or about 40 miles North of downtown Dallas straight up I35E. Argyle is out in horse country. A lot of folks live on large acreage with pastures, horses and/or Long Horns. I work in the city but come home to the country. I am Familiar with Bastrop. If memory serves me I used to pass through Bastrop when driving from Houston to Austin. A good friend of mine and his wife live in Austin so I spent some time there. Love the Hill Country especially when the Blue Bonnets are in bloom.

No Prob, I figured you'd get to it when you had time :) , Thats a nice area..... I have family all around those parts... My dads side of the family had the family homestead up around pilot point, isn't that in the vicinity? I know part of the family lived in Denton and Sanger for years and my Uncle still lives up in the area, but I can't think of the name of the town right now.
