Where is a good mounting spot for a Fass 150 on a short bed truck? I've got it mounted to the bed right now by the gas tank filler tube but that won't last much longer, it's starting to tear. So, any good locations you guys know of would be greatly appreciated.

I couldn't find a better spot and it was a PITA to install. Eventually I am going to fab up a new bracket.

Here is where Michael at HotRodDiesels.com mounted mine. Sort of hard to tell from the pictures. He modified the brackets for the long bed. It is tucked as far up as you can get and has been there for over two years now.

Funny you should ask. I just installed the fass 150/95 in my truck today. The factory brackets work great. The pump/filters hang from the rear leaf spring perch. If you have the original brackets consider making a template from the bracket that conects to the leaf spring perch. I made a template and marked the perch prior to drilling it.

This is a great spot to hang the pump and the filters can't be seen from the sides.

They are subject to road debris in this area.

I have the 150/150 and because it has bigger filters you have to be exact in mounting the original bracket or it is difficult to fit in inbetween the frame, bed side and filler hoses. If you get it right it's nice, but it may take a while and a couple of tries to get it to fit. Plus I had to modify the universal bracket so it was easier to squeeze in.
