I was calling around checking out insurance prices for my 5th wheel, and lo and behold camping world's full-replacement coverage is cheaper than the "actual cash value" insurance I was getting from my auto insurance company. I asked my auto insurance provider, and they don't even sell replacement coverage for rv's. So give them a try... I got better insurance at a cheaper rate.

Been insured through Camping World for 18 months now. I could not find a rate that came even close. I put a dent in the fiver over new year, no problem with the claim either.

I have my vehicles through Progressive. When I bought my trailer, I check Camping World, Good Sams, etc. Progressive price including towing and emergency assistance was cheaper than everyone elses insurance on the trailer only.

Go with the full replacement value, even if it isn't cheaper. I just got bit by the "cash-value" policy I had on my TT. It was totalled after my wreck and I'm still about 2K in the hole. I've got it covered, but that's not the point. Pay now, or pay later. :( I got a steal of a deal from State Farm, but I also got what I paid for. I signed up the new 5'ver with Progressive just over an hour ago. Full replacement value.

When I bought my first Alpenlite the dealer suggested Progressive. They were much less expensive than State Farm (even though I had my home & all vehicles insured with State Farm) That was in 1995 & I always re-newed with progressive. (I got great service from them on 2 claims) At a rally last year we attended a seminar hosted by a representative of R. V. Alliance. Progressive is one of the companys in their portfolio . When I got the quote from R. V. Alliance I contacted progressive. The lady suggested I change companys, Progressive would not match the quote. Time will tell whether or not I made a good decision, but I saved a lot of money for the same( or better ) coverage.

Check with a travel trailer dealer for more info.
