ok guys,

I just got my new truck the tires look to weak. I have the 17" nice rims. I do 95% city driving ands some highway as well. Im sure the michelins will drive great on the road but they dont have any B@**s to them. I want a good mean looking tire that is reasonably priced and good in the snow also. PLEASE HELP

oh yea. any want to buy the take offs pm me

bfg a/t's look somewhat agressive... i've got the 315/70/17 varity on mine. .

are you looking at keeping the same size? or going to a larger tire???

I've got the 35" Toyo M/T's, they look good. I haven't had them long enough to comment on wear or how well they work in the snow.

DO NOT buy the Pro Craps from 4Wheel Parts. I've had mine on for just over a year and about 20,000 miles and I don't think they are going to get me through the winter. They were pretty cheap though. So maybe they aren't that bad.

I've run Goodyear MTRs on my Jeep and they were great both on and off road. They look good and are reasonably priced. Not sure you can get them in an E rating.

If you want a mean, beefy tire there is no better choice than a set of 35" BFG MUD TERRAINS!! I've had 3 sets between my '01 and my new '05. They ride nice and pretty quiet considering what kind of tire it is. My average ride is 70 highway miles a day at around 80 MPH. I get approx. 40-50k out of a set w/ smoke shows  They look sick on the factory 17" rims. They fill in the wheel wells nice and no rubbing. JMO, good luck. P. S. I'll try to get some pictures up so you can judge for yourself.

I recently bid on some polished wheels for my truck. Unfortunately they came with the rather boring Michelin 265/70r 17 ltxs'. I ordered the BF Goodrich AT/TA KO 286/70r 17 from my dealership and was told 3 came in and one is on its way from Montreal. Being a Bruin fan, I hope the French do not hold it against me and ship my forth tire soon. i can't wait to see my truck in AT tires again. I found for the price and not wanting to lift my truck, the 285's a perfect match for my intended use. Good Luck. Oh if any Canadian TDR member is interested I have the Michelins for sale for $450 Canadian... less than 500km's... Thanks

I have the 35" BFG M/T on 18" Eagle Alloys, and they are just what the doctor ordered. They are agressive, look great, and are relatively quiet considering how agressive they are. Have 40K on the set I have now, and still have 10K or so to go. They are a little pricy though, but if you are looking for 17" they wont be quite as bad.

the BFG M/T's are nice, but if your in snow/icy conditions you will not like them. The first set of them I ran i almost went into a ditch because the truck started to plow through the corner, where w/ my old worn AT's it didn't.

I had to have mine siped at a truck tire store adn that made a world of difference, but it cuts down the life immensly.
