Good One: Best Law Enforcement Agency

The LAPD, the FBI, & the CIA are all trying to prove

that they are the best at apprehending criminals. The

President decides to give them a test. He releases a

rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch it.





The CIA goes in. They place animal informants

throughout the forest. They question all plant and

mineral witnesses. After three months of extensive

investigations they conclude that rabbits do not

exist.



The FBI goes in. After two weeks with no leads they

burn the forest, killing everything in it, including

the rabbit and they make no apologies. The rabbit had

it coming.



The LAPD goes in. They come out two hours later with a

badly beaten bear. The bear is yelling: "Okay, okay,

I'm a rabbit, I'm a rabbit. "

That's closer to the truth than you think.

I think the LAPD were wearing a pink bunny suit and using a big carrot to get the bear to say that.



If it was Houston PD in the woods, all the animals in the forest would complain because they were being racially profiled, and only white rabbits would be arrested by the police for fear of being complained on.

LOL @ Eric !!! Let me tell ya, they are taking a beating with the new rules in the NJSP... cameras in all cars as well as tape recorders that log everything that they say and do once the red lights are on, motorist contact reports that they must complete detailing the description of the stop, motorist's gender and race, etc. This is the feel good age. Isn't it great that no one profiles the poor minoritys, picking on them for no good reason ??? No one ever mentions the white trash that get profiled, as they aren't in the minority and are fair game ???? All I can say is that their intentions were good and their goals were to free the streets of drugs. If anyone was stopped and they had nothing to hide, the most they would receive is a waste of some of their time. If they got caught with contraband, doom on them.



Like it or not, legal or not, profiling in one form or another is a tool used by most cops to effect arrests and stop the flow of drugs. The NJSP had a huge record of drug arrests when they did it the 'old way'. The TPKE Troopers cleaned house and made some incredible finds, through the use of profiling. When was the last time you heard of a big drug arrest made by the NJSP ??? I can't recall one in quite a while. Those drugs didn't go away, they are just getting through now.

If that was the Kentucky State Police in the woods, the bear would have been pulled over 4 times in 24 hours between the same two trees, and lost his license, his car, his insurance, his job, and his good name.

Profiling is just using common sense. !

If looking for KKK members, would you check out the Ghetto?

If looking for Black Panthers would you check out a Clan Rally?

If looking for an escapee, would it help to know if he were Mexican, Black, White or Oriental?

If researching High Morals would you interview Kennedy, Clinton or Fonda. ? Give me a break. Why don't we go back to using common sense?
