I'm in the Metro-Atlanta area. I'm seeing dealers pricing used 2006-07, 5. 9, 4wd Mega Cabs around $30k. I'd prefer to keep the mileage around 100k or less. Is that a good price? I guess a few guys here have bought new/used trucks so just looking for an opinion.

30K doesn't sound bad at all, particularly if these trucks are well equipped and don't appear to be abused. I've done some shopping myself and a nice Laramie and/or upgraded SLT in the southeast texas area are in the range of 32-40K. Each have been just under/over 100K miles and in very good condition with no visible abuse. I would definetely find out the original owner and check to see if any power adders have been removed.

I would say that is a good average price depending on options. I am amazed that they are still worth that but $30k is roughly what i was looking at earlier this year. That was in the Midwest/Kansas City area.

Brought one in from the USA though a broker to Canada when our dollar was close to par----2007 SLT Mega DRW,Auto with 20,000 miles--- paid $37,000CAN($2,000 was gov tax),but no warranty cause it came/imported from the US-----Dodge Canada will not honor any imported vehicle from the states with warranty work---trying to protect the "overpriced"dealers here. Same truck up here with most options/mileage was close to 50k when i was looking. Pays to shop around as a new one will set you back 60/65K. DW---PS a buddy just brought home a new Ford 'king ranch"----6. 4 LT,loaded-----65K+taxes

I paid $35k for my 06 Mega laramie last month... It had 17,400 on the odo. Every option but U-Connect. NADA value actually went up $1000 earlier this month. Gotta love that 5. 9!

just paid $28k for an '06 mega 4x4 from a dealer in Columbus GA who advertised the truck on eBay motors. 36k miles. that was the best price we'd seen, most dealers seemed to be asking $32k - $35k with mileage in that range.

Pd 28,900 in July fully loaded '06 laramie everything but sun roof. I believe the value has gone up as Fuel prices dropped this past spring.

Paid $27K for my truck in Jan 09 with 32K miles. Super clean condition. Went to North Carolina to get it after searching for an 06 or 07 Mega 5. 9L Laramie with 6-speed for a couple of months.

I recently picked up a 06 3500 Quad Cab Dually SLT with 10900 miles for $28500, had it a month now. There are some great deals out there but you have to look around. It is the Truck in My Avatar.

mega

Are you still looking for an 06 megacab?

Well, here's the deal. I currently have a co. Truck. We used to get a vehicle allowance and I could have my own truck. They changed that policy and mandated that we all have company trucks because there was some question as to who was responsible for maintenance. There were a few bad eggs that took advantage of the deal that maintenance was ours but the co. Paid us for the use of our vehicle. I was okay with the deal because I got to have my dodge CTD and the co. Paid me for it. Anyway, there's talk about going back to the "vehicle lease agreement". If that does happen, I will most certainly be looking for one. In the meantime though, I keep my TDR membership up and keep up on the new trucks. I currently have an F250 2wd long bed xcab. 5. 4L. Gets 12mpg and can barely get out of its own way. Very disappointing. I miss my '02 but the newer trucks offer much more IMHO. Especially the mega cabs.
