Good Price??

What to you folks think of this price? I'm looking for a 3500 and found a 2000 with 25k. Six speed, 4x4, every option, Sport, quad cab, Reese gooseneck hitch. $27,500 is what I'm considering. Sticker was $40k. It sounds like the pre-HO's with 6 speed, which this is, would be better for bombing. Also, I forgot to check if the 2000 has rear disc brakes. Does it?

This 3. 54 truck power wise is noticeably "doggy" compared to either an HO 4. 10 I drove or my 230/605 '94.

I don't know how it is where you live but here you will end up paying more for this truck than you would for same truck new because of difference in financing interest rate on a used vehicle versus a new one. Of course if you pay cash then you can save some money. bg

Believer. . the 2001. 5 is where the 4 wheel disk brakes started. . [that's why they are being called . 5 by the guys on TDR DC has no such designation]. . the price is not to bad. . hope you have a credit union type of financing as I agree with B. G. on the rate eating the price reduction of used . .

If you are looking for a real deal on a used truck. I have a 98 12 valve 4x4 quad cab, red with gooseneck hitch, firestone ride rites, linex liner factory c/d system, cab high snug top shell, 7/100,000 chrysler warranty, truck just hit 50,000 miles, has NO mods and is a 49 state truck, not calif. 354 rear with automatic and is far from being a dog on power. I will sell for $25k. I have $38k invested. This truck has only towed my 18' boat and a 2 horse bumper pull trailer, not to mention not a scratch on the truck. Looks like new and has new 265 Michlens with new front brakes...

Well I think it is right you can get a new one for less than used. I bought mine and it had 9 miles on it. Out the door including license, taxes and the works $30,000. I priced used trucks and they where all above that price unless stripped. Hope this helps!!!
