Looks like it should be. You get info on all engines and options, so you'll have to
make sure you're in the right section. Cummins has service manuals for you're
specific engine.

I was looking at getting this:

Amazon.com: 1994 DODGE RAM TRUCK Body, Chassis & Electrical Service Manual CD [eb2822R]: Everything Else

Is this going to be a complete manual for anything I might need to do for my truck, like the clutch of front wheel bearings in particular? I'm not familiar with factory service manuals and I want to be sure this will have everything I need (like there isn't a different version for diesels or something). Thanks

Yes. This is what I recommend. I have the 1996 version (for obvious reasons) in paper and CD versions. I read the paper version before I work on something, and then print from the CD to get it greasy. It will have the best wiring diagrams you can get anywhere at any price.

HOWEVER, you can get it from Geno's Garage for $30, here: 1994 DODGE FACTORY SERVICE CD-Dodge Cummins Diesel Truck Accessories – Geno’s Garage Geno's is affiliated with the TDR and is also where I get my filters and other useful stuff.

Heads-up: If the 1994 TSM uses the same diagram for installing the thermostat as the 1996 version, the diagram *may* show the installation of the rubber gasket backward. If the diagram looks counterintuitive, it's backward. It'll work backward, but you'll get weird temperature fluctuations (even weirder than normal) and it will be hard to install. DO NOT ask how I know this.

The only manual that could be better than the factory SM would be one annotated with TDR member corrections. I've seen things in my '98 SM that are just plain wrong, things that simply do not match what's installed on my truck. However, that's true of just about every manual ever made; even DEC's computer and software manuals, which still stand as some of the best ever printed in the industry, had mistakes now and again.

Good point about the TDR member corrections. I've seen the incorrect orientation rubber seal diagram in one aftermarket book. I forget which one. I didn't buy it. :-laf
