My parents live in Camden Arkansas which is a couple hours away from Little Rock. My father has a 1990 D350 that needs some work done to it. My father is now retired but spent his life as a heavy duty diesel mechanic and truck driver but over the last few years, arthritis has set in on his hands and he can't really twist wrenches like he used to. The problem really is that he is VERY particular and would rather do the work himself but is unable to any longer.

His truck has been sitting for a few years and needs the timing set, the turbo replaced (he has the new one) and the inter-cooler cleaned, a rear axle seal changed out just to mention a few things that I'm aware of. I'd do it, but I'm in California so that's not an option.

I'm looking for shop recommendations somewhere in the general vicinity that has a good reputation for doing work on TDR members' trucks. They have a flatbed trailer and can tow the truck so I'm thinking that a days drive isn't out of the question to get it to a good shop.

Thanks

Craig

I use Walkers auto repair in Jacksonville for the work I don't do myself-like ball joints. They are a radiator shop and air conditioning shop too. They do excellent alignments too. They have completely rebuilt the front end on my sons F250 Super Duty 4X4 a couple times (he has over 300K miles on it). Phone number is 501-982-5040.

There is another place in Cabot I have used but they are a little expensive. Ead's auto repair. They are a little expensive on a lot of their work though. They have a mechanic that was a Dodge Diesel tech. They replaced the clutch on my 2000 ($675 for labor-I funished the South bend clutch/flywheel).
