I was headed back from KC today and was trying to get over to the far right hand lane to my exit. 2 cars were merging onto the highway at the same time. They were both real nice, kind of thing you'd see at a car show with the hood popped up and some guy rubbing it with a diaper. Well, I had my signal on to get over to the right. I let the first one go by and was trying to sneak in between them since my exit was coming up fast. The 2nd car was a 70s model VW bug and the driver had BOTH windows down. Well that idiot finally decided to let me over after I had slowed down to about 35 or 40 in 4th gear on the interstate (and had almost missed the exit). So I laid on the throttle and gave him a taste of the PODs. OH MY GOD, was I laughing, he thought he was pretty cool until I filled his car with #2. I wasn't intending to smoke him out, until he wouldn't let me over. HAHAHA, I'm a jerk!!!! PODs rock!!

yes yes yes!!!

Oh yeah - ya'know I think we know some of the same people. Me and TJ had a similar dilema on our way through KC - We met 'el stupido' in his new bright shiny truck merging onto the highway - you can see him coming right, we're in the right lane, and a big ole' 18-wheeler is on our left - no where to go... and as we're trying to get out of the dudes way I notice that he never, not once, looked over to his left to maybe have a LOOK at where he was trying to place his bright shiny new pick-up (chrome trim everywhere, 47" wheels, sparks coming off the running boards. . you know the type)... ... right up to the point he was actually coming into our lane. Now..... TJ's new truck is not hard to spot - for cryin' out loud, it's a '93 W350 4x4 dually, black, with a big honkin stake bed on the back - not hard to miss... providing you're , um, LOOKING where you're going, right??? Well, bubba and his new truck... I was purposefully watching his face the whole time... finally looked over, about 1 foot from TJ's mirror, and damned near sauced his shorts when he saw TJ's big black diesel between his shiny rig and the bigger diesel on our left - actually I think he HEARD it before he saw it (straight pipes are good) because by this time TJ had the #2 pedal through the floor..... and totally - I mean TOTALLY made that bright shiny new pick-up ... ... ... ... . dissappear.....

I was laughing so hard I had snot bubbles coming outta my nose... .....

LOL I love it when that happens! I did the same thing to a little sorority girl in a convertible. Couldn't tell what kind, but that doesn't matter. She tried to pull around me on the freakin shoulder cause the guy infront of me was making a left hand turn... there was hardley any room to get that car on the shoulder between my big truck and the 10 ft ditch on the other side. As soon as he got done with his turn, that's when she made her move (did I mention she'd been riding my tail the whole time up till that point? I hate that!) and I layed the diesel to the floor. Not only did she get her ear drums blasted out my the pipe sans muffler, the super eclipse exhaust cloud of death (thankyou to whoever said that one first!) rolled over her like a black cotton blanket. I love CTDs! And she never got any closer than six car lengths ever again. Next person?!

I got a couple people on the way home from the dyno too. One was just before I left KC and the other was inbetween Beto Junction and Emporia. Neither one didn't understand the concept of cruise control and got big clouds of #2 sent their way.

When I built my four inch pipe, I "accidentally" pointed the tip slightly upward. I was trying for level, but I was by myself, and couldn't hold it level and tack it in place at the same time... ... . oops ;)

AJ

When I replaced the muffler with a straight pipe I had that same problem. ;) Except now my hanger bolt for the tailpipe is broke and the "re-enginered" cloths hanger doesn't do quite as good.

"... sauced his shorts... . " Ha! and now it's not ROTFLMAO, Nooo!!!

LSHIHSBCOMN "... laughing so hard I had snot bubbles comming out of my nose!!" :-laf :-laf

Thanks

Isn't htis a great place?!?!!

I got one Sat. morning going out to the field. A person driving a nice new black car was tailgating me bad on my way out of town. As soon as I got to edge of town when it goes to a 45 mph speed limit, (with the T/C locked and in O/D) doing about 40, I planted the go pedal, putting the 370s to work. :D

With the stacks, it went straight back and down, and totally engulfed the car. After that, they didn't get within 250 yards of me. Made me happy. :D

Travis, you need to turn your pump up some! Turn your pump up, getchya some POD's (and an EGT gauge!) and you should have some smoke... is that right guys?

Yep, get the PODs, bury the starwheel and the fuel screw, turn the fuel pin to it's deepest point, and your truck will smoke like a freight train!! Even if you exclude the PODs, your truck still ought to smoke pretty good if you all the rest, and the best part is that it's free!!!

AJ

Yeah, I don't know about the PODs, but I am gonna start monkeying with the pump soon. I live in California, so I can't go crazy with the smoke (don't really want to anyway). We'll see how it goes.
