What are you sled pullers using for tires? List size too.

Around here BF Goodrich is really popular for sled pullers. At's or Mud terrain. They seam to hold up pretty good.

I had 3/4 used Yokohama Geolander A/T's last year at the Osceola pull. The spring before I had them as almost new... . and ran them in Buffalo. I was pretty happy with them. Even when the Fat Kid sent me into the Sand Trap in Buffalo I did pretty well. This time around I went with Kuhmo Venture M/T's... . and yet to get them on Rims... . As soon as I pull with them I'll let ya know!

I so very temped to pull. But I need to get more miles out of my stock clutch.

So for now I'm still a spectatar. But still good to gather info. So when I do start.

Gonna maybe go up to Wadena this weakend.

Waconia has two nights of pulling in a couple weeks. They feature big rigs on the secound night. Love watchin K series 1150 Cummins powered big rigs.

Hope two see John and Mike up in Grand Forks pull this fall?

Im also wondering about tires for pullin. Trying to ecide between the BFGs, MTRs, and Claws. Theres probably not alot of diffrence between the three when it comes to tread. My main concern is size. I dont want to get to big a tire and start breaking stuff. 33" seems to be popular size. Do many guys pull with 35's and have the drivetrain survive?? I would think the bigger the tire the better the traction which at the end would cause broken parts instead of spinning out. Still learning here.

I've pulled with 35's for 2 years now and haven't broken anything... just took home more trophies! :D :-laf My buddy that also pulls with me uses 32's on his dually and our trucks were setup pretty similar and I beat him. So I am convinced bigger tires will get you farther down the track.

The tire of choice here are Groundhawgs. At least for the super stock gassers. Matter of fact, all of the local boys use Groundhawgs except for one, he uses claws.
