Ive got my ruenell bumper and ready to get a winch for it... is the 9. 5ti a good winch or do you recommend a different warn that is comperable in weight and price?

A 9500 lb. winch is too small for a truck with a diesel.

The rule of thumb is to get a winch with a pull rating of 150% of your truck weight.

If your truck weighs 7000 lbs with fuel and people, you will need to be able to pull at least 10,000 lbs.

Someday I'll step up to the warn 16. 5ti. But for now I'm going to yank the HS9500i off my F-150 and put it in when my Buckstop bumper gets here (soon).

The weight will always go up with the bigger winch. No way to get around that. But if you stay away from the ti models you will save some money. But they are phasing out non ti models.

You want at least 12,000lbs of pull. But some pull is better than none. I'd wait and save up if I were you. In my case I already own it.
