I had a set on my old 2000, loved them! I got 40k outa them rotating like you should, but they were def done at that mileage. Good all around tire except when you panic stop when its wet out. They will def slide/skid a lil bit, but nothing you can't handle.
I have MTR's on my Jeep. (Toyo M/T's on the truck). I will warn you that once they "break in" they will be noisy. Rotating regular helps, but they will still howl, that is just the way MTR's are. I got nearly 60K out of the last set on my Jeep, with rotating all 5 regularly.
I am running the 305/70/R17 MTRs, I love them in mud and deep snow, they do loose traction with wet pavement. They are very loud, my wife hates them. I have 58,000 on them now, I rotate every 5000 miles, and there is 12/32 tread left on them.
