What kind of gooseneck hitches to they make for our year trucks. I'm looking at one, I forget something like turnover ball, mounts in the frame with just a four inch hole in the bed. Thats the only one the guy could find for this year truck. Everything else is for the newer style. Any suggestions.

if you ever plan on getting a 5ver then just buy the mounting rails for the fifth wheel hitch. they make a gooseneck ball mount that pins into the rails for the 5ver hitch.

I have a Una-Goose hitch and really like it. Go to the link in my signature and go to the 1992 Dodge truck link. You can find a picture of it there. Also you can visit www.unagoose.com My hitch took about half a day to install. I could do it in 3 hours now that I have the right tools. It cost me about $400. I feel that the price is worth it because the hitch is very high quality. Hope this helps.

Troutdog, I Have a frame mounted, fold down, GN hitch made by Curt that I bought in your state from Weaver Distributing of Fredericksburg, PA.

The whole thing costs about $175. 00. The hitch is rated 30,000# GTW and 6,000# TW (but the universal install kit is only rated 20,000#).

Some cutting (of the install kit) and frame drilling for brackets was required but I did it in one afternoon without removing the pickup bed.

You can call Weaver Distributing at 1-800-932-8373 and ask them for their latest catalog. These people responded quickly and were helpful with questions. They have lots of stuff for pickup sized trailers and at reasonable prices (No, I don't work for them or get commissions, just happy with their service and products)

Hope this helps. Good Luck:)

Thats a nice looking hitch but they don't list a Dodge model for a 1st gen, only 94 +. :-{}

THE CODY HITCH

I've got the CODY hitch in my '93 and my '02. It mounts exactly like you describe. The nice thing about this hitch is if you trade trucks the hitch will fit the new one. Paid $250. for the last one in '98 (shipped to my door). It doesn't have the linkage in the wheelwell that can eventually rust/bind up. I'm very satisfied with this hitch. Their website is : www.codyhitch.com. :D

B&W Turnover Hitch.......

Is what I have on all my trucks. Multiple accessories, including gooseneck ball, fifth wheel hitch, and how 'bout a hay bale carrier:D .

I've had good luck with these, except for when one idiot employee of mine forgot to put the lock pin in, and smashed his toolbox when the rtailer came undone.

I don't have a problem with that, I have an '01;):p:D

Give 'em a yell. I bet they just don't list it on the web.
