I need suggestions / recommendations for gooseneck hitches to go in a 2005 3500 DRW CTD. What do you have, like, dislike? Please include any website addresses.

TIA. :D

B&W is on my wishlist.

Stout design, can cover it with a bedmat when not in use, and can add a 5ver very easily.

What's not to like?

I've seen them on Ebay for around $280 with $40-45 shipping.

Anybody seen a better price?

yes there is 5th wheel companion hitch that fits in the 2 1/2 inch square, and the rails are under the bed floor, b&w is a great hitch, very happy with mine

Got the B&W gooseneck hitch installed when I bought the truck. Works great, pulled 40' flatbed with no problems. Added the companion 5th wheel hitch just last week to start transporting RV's. Took it out of the bed yesterday in about 3 minutes. Works for me.

If you just neet a gooseneck hitch then I say go with unagoose.com. I believe they are one of the strongest out there and I have tested them with grossing around 40,000lbs on several occasions with not a lick of trouble. Also there is no lever under the bed to mess with. Definitely give them a look before you buy.

I looked at the Unagoose and the B&W. I like the design of the Unagoose. I probably would've gotten one, but they're over $400 whereas the B&W is easier on the wallet.

Now that I've got it, I'm perfectly happy with the B&W - no regrets! Takes about 1. 5 hours to install.

im planning on a B&W pretty soon. just need to make sure i have a trail rig first, then comes then gooseneck trailer and hitch.

Drop' N' Lock in mine. Super simple and rated at 35,000lb. Tow with mine every day. Between last truck and this one I've got about 70k with no probs. Less parts than most others means less to go wrong. Dad sells them and I've helped intall a number of them. I think he's got them listed on http://www.diersag.com I'll check when I'm done here.

I paid 275 for my B&W the last time around... . I have 3 of them in trucks that work all the time... ... Its a fair product for the price... . The 03-05 design clamps to the frame rail and uses a hook to keep it from sliding down the frame... . its been a problem on my son's 04. 5 in that we didn't have the nuts tight and loc tited and the hitch tried to slide..... We felt this was our fault..... we went back and checked everything again and its been fine... .
