gooseneck + slide in dump bed...is it possible?

We are putting an aluminum slide in dump bed in the bed of the 3500. When it is in, it will probably be about 4"-6" higher than the sides of the regular bed. We are also thinking of buying a gooseneck equiptment trailer to handle some more weight for towing. Now, is there a way that we could mount the hitch in the dump bed? The bed is all aluminum and mounted to the truck by only three or four bolts. Would this be strong enough to tow with? If we reinforced the bed in the truck like hell, could we do it that way? We will be towing between up to 13,000lbs probably. I need ideas on how to accomplish putting in the dump bed and being able to use a gooseneck trailer. Be creative~

Would I be correct in assuming it will be slid into the box and not a cab/chassis? Will the dump box need to be used the same day as the gooseneck or easy to put in/take out? If it slides in and out easy, would maybe just get a removeable gooseneck ball like a B&W Turnover ball and slide the dump across the top of the ball when turned over.



If you were to take of the box and install a regular steel dump body on the truck, you might be able to make something that will work that way. Have seen it done on a flat bed medium-duty truck before that had a hoist under it. Not sure how the ball was attached to the bed for sure. May have had a framework built between the channel frame rails on the bed because it came up with the bed.



Had another thought, how 'bout a goosenck dump trailer and a gooseneck flatbed, instead of the slide in?
