What odd things to you have in your RV?

Need quote on towing to Mexico

I'm going to buy a used enclosed car hauler (28+') to move cross country with, then probably sell it. I can either go TT or 5th wheel, but I've also seen some large goosenecks for sale. Can a gooseneck trailer be converted somehow to be pulled with a 5th wheel hitch, or is the height differential incompatible? Thanks for your experiences!

Should not be a problem. All you need is a post with the king pin rather than a ball coupler. I changed my flat bed when I bought it, in fact the manufacturer had the posts with the king pin in stock. Most trailers I have seen have an adjustable post so that you can level the trailer. Your other option may be to use a plate with the ball on it. I have a Reese 5th wheel and a goose plate that sets into the same brackets so I can use either type easily.

Goose neck to 5th

I have a 28 ft enclosed trailer that was built as a goose but I have a different tube with a king pin and plat on the end. Works great with a 5th wheel.

Several 5th wheel hitch mfg's make a gooseneck plate that can be installed on the hitch rails in place of the 5th wheel hitch. What type of hitch do you have?

I have a Reese 16K slider that I am fabricating underbed mounts for, so I don't know if the plate would work. I'll look into it though. Maybe I can fabricate a plate aswell. Thanks.

Goose to 5th

If you've got the standard Reese Rails, you can get the Reese Goose. It's a plate with a 30,000 lb capacity ball that will drop right into your rails and attach with 4 pins. I think I paid around $179. 00 ABOUT 2 YEARS AG

http://www.airridehitch.com/gooseneck_hitches.html Has the gooseneck post with the king pin and Plate. You can go either way. The 5th wheel is easier to hook up, but the Gooseneck is better for of road and better articulating.
