#adI may not have high miles, but I have 525 miles on my 01. 5 and tonight I changed the engine oil. The oil came out as a light carmel color. The filter came right off, with no trouble. I did use the freezer bag trick for the oil filter, it worked great.
For safty sake I bring up the following.
When you change your oil take off your watch or other jewlery that you may be wearing. The output of the Alt post is very close to where you will be working.
Electrical burns are not pretty, I have seen a few in my 20 + years in the USMC.
This truck is great. No problems
