Got another dog

Bought a German Shepherd the other day.

She's 14 weeks old and an import. Her papers show 5 generations of good (A to A+) hips

I bought her from a breeder than specialises in training dogs for police and military work.

Can anyone reccomend some books on training her?

She's very aware of her surroundings, extremely smart, and seems like she has no fear.

I'd like her to be a bit more agressive than my mutt.

I'd love to train her in German, but I need to learn more myself.

That alone seems to freak some people out.

She's trained... I'm the one who's not!!

I'll have to stick with my Jack Russell Terrier, he thinks he's a German Shepard though! Aggressive "little sucker" and, his name is "Rowdy" it fits him. :-laf

I would take her to obiedience class where you do the work for starters. There is a ton of info on shepherds on the net, maybe that would help with the books. If you lived in my area, we have a trainer who has done it all. He is the one who showed us that our Belgium Malinois understands Dutch and German. Heck, the dog knows more foreign words than I do. I would be very careful with the aggression. That comes pretty natural to shepherds, especially females.
