Anyone own a diesel eXmark mower?

I got called out by a 06 ford power stroke. It's a 4 door dually, and well is identical to my truck, "Silver 4 door, 4x4, stacks, but crappy motor" Anyway, all he has is a Quad box 4" exhaust with 5 " stacks and a loud intake kit, I think he said it was a K&N... The big thing here is it's a 6 speed too. My question is, does the manual trans on a 06 ford have lower HP/TQ rating like the dura craps have? I don't care about his HP really, just was courious, I mean look at my signature and with the touchy pedal that the SMARTY gives me I'll be three lenghts ahaed before his "STOCK" turbo even lights... :D

That's what I'm thinkin... He said it dyno's 422 HP to the rear wheels. But it's not HP that moves you, it's TQ and let me tell you, even with the 30HP setting on the SMARTY I can TQ the truck prettty bad. I don't mean to, but the damn pedal is sooooo touchy. I like it though, you just have to be vary careful.

The stick 6. 0's are slugs off the line compared to the autos. I would say run em. :D

I have managed to stall a 3000 mile old 6. 0 6 speed with 3 or 4000#'s starting off in 2nd (transmission tight, didn't wanna grab creeper). Before I knew it, she stumbled and choked. So I started to slip the crap outa the clutch every time I was kinda forced to use 2nd.

But you need lots of rev-gain to be able to drive right by him :)

I told him what all I had, but didn't say anything about the short throw shifter... :D It made a pretty good differance IMO... :-laf Hell I don't care, he seems to be a pretty cool guy, so I don't want to kick his *** too bad. :D Then again it is a Furd and I have to represent.

Amen, brother - don't hand him his ***** too quickly - make him think he has a chance... classic sandbag. Just when he thinks he might just have a shot, throw in the idea of a little money on the side, then hammer down! There should be a dent in the floorboard under your fuel pedal!

You already have him worried, from the comment about his slipping clutch. Hasn't even run and making excuses. Show him your taillights.

ford does not derate the 6spd like gm does. i have owned[still have one]7. 3 strokes, and driven several 6. 0 trucks,a couple with 6spd trannys. both engines[especially the 7. 3]have good low end trq. the reason they are less peppy on the low side is due to the heui fuel system. i have seen old 7. 3 idi turbos with doctored inj pumps have more throttle response than the powerstrokes. i believe since he has a 6spd,you will take him on the short run. but if you make a long run out of it,and he has by passed the speed limiter, your gonna loose.

Here is how to whip him but good. 30 m. p. h rolling start with both of you in sixth gear. Check my sig for my truck. I have put 120,000 miles on my 03 F350 6. 0 6 speed work truck. The Cummins will cream the 6. 0 in the above mentioned conditions. ps both trucks I have and work in are bone stock.

Well I know I have a 15 second truck, learned that last night. I ran 16. 01, but I've never ran before and my 60 foot time sucked!!! My land barge as it's been refered to in the past with 90 gal of fuel onboard, bumper like a ranch hand, tail gate still on, spare tire in place. Nothing but the SMARTY on #9 and other things in my signature, I think that's pretty respectable... Give me more time behind the wheel and practice to control my boost a little more off the line I know it's a 15 second truck "with" all that crap on... Take all that off, AUX fuel tank, bumper, on and on, hell I might run low 14's. Thanks Banshee for the invite out to the drags. You have one hell of a truck...
