Well Heres A Quick Update First Tank Of Fuel Averged 390 Miles To 34 Gallons. and Tha Was Driving Pretty Aggresive . not Too Bad Though. overall It Is 3 Times Better Than The 5. 9 48re Combo. The Power Is Always There The Rpms Always Right Where They Need To Be I Love Doing 70 At 1700 Rpms . this Thing Is Gonna Pull Like A cHamp . cant Wait Too Hook Something To It.

What other options did you get? The auto transmission sounds good, but I'll still prefer a 6 speed. Post pictures.

foglights sliding rear window tow package protection group . the all terrain tires

siruis radio. free for a year. um i w ill never miss my my 6spds although they were flawless. but im tired of shifting. i can still shift if i want to with the 68re hehehe... .

Ill Get Some

Ok I Couldnet Wait So I Hooked The 22foot Flat Bed Trailer And Loaded It Up. let Me Tell You The 6spd transmission Should Have Been In The Truck Years Ago. pulls So Much Better Than The 48re And Both My 6speeds . i Mean Its Perfect. At 70 Im Right At 1700rpms . If I Hit A Real Long Steep Grade And Dont Want To Pull It In 6th. Ill Just Hit The Ole Switch And Boo Ya Rpms Up To 2300 And Wont Budge Of The 70mph. with The 48re And The 6spd When You Downshift At 70 Your Dang Near At Redline And Do Good To Hold 70. with The 6spd Auto There Is Still Plenty Room Left And Will Keep Pulling. all In All Its Is By Far The Best Set Up In My Opinoun.

Good, I'm glad to hear that. Sounds like a great combination of engine and transmission.

Don't be surprised if it sits there for 3 days before moving on. I have been tracking my truck from Texas as well.

You will also notice that sometimes it will say arrive at a certain city, then arrive at a city that is located farther back from the current one.

And then there is the occasional problem like the axle/brake defective. That happened on my railcar and sat in Cheyenne WY for a couple of days before it was fixed.

If it arrives in Spokane on Friday as planned, then the total time is May 17th to June 1st.

I got the chance to drive a friend's 3500 QCSB SRW 4X2 68rfe Laramie yesterday. That is one sweet ride! You are right about it being much better at gear selection than the 48re which I think is a good transmission but has poor computer control.

I really liked the manual shift. It has been a while since I drove the 06 D/A Z at work but I think this transmission should close the gap in driveability. Time will tell about reliability.

The best thing about the 07. 5 is that it doesn't have the poor throttle response of the Z. A little throttle moves the speedo. It also seemed to pull better at low rpm than my 06 work truck, but the 1500-2000lb difference in wgt makes comparison difficult.

I followed my friend driving my 98 and even with it making good smoke I could stay with him. That is something neither the 06 CTD, 06 D/A Z, or chipped 04 D/A could do. As I told my friend, if this truck loosens up lke his 2003 HO did it is going to be one hell of a towing machine.

Hitch goes in Monday, and I suspect he will finish the break in with his 14K+ fiver soon. The on board read 18. 4 mpg when I talked to him last night for the 250 miles of mostly country road driving at 60-65 yesterday with a some spurts to 80 and 90. He is going to hand calculate after golf today.
