Got Me A 2002

PICKED UP MY 2002 QUAD CAB SHORTBED AUTO WITH 3:54 GEARS GARNISHED IN DARK CARMINE RED. ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH I ENJOYED DRIVING THIS TRUCK WITH THE TURBO SINGING IN THE WIND. THE CUMMINS SURE DOES ATTRACT ATTENTION. I DO BELIEVE OTHER PICK UP OWNERS LOOK AT YOU WITH ENVY. FILLED HER UP FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH HALF HIGHWAY AND HALF STOP AND GO AND GOT A TRUE 18 MPG FOR THE FIRST TANKFUL. IT SHOULD GET BETTER AS IT BREAKS IN. DIESEL OUT HERE IN NJ WHERE I LIVE ( 7 MILES FROM NYC OR GROUND ZERO) IS $ 1. 31 PER GAllON. I KNOW I WILL CONTINUE TO ENJOY MY NEW RAM BUT TRAVEL ON THE HIGHWAYS IN THE NJ NY AREA IS ROUGH NOWADAYS DUE TO ALL THE INSPECTIONS OF TRUCKS AND TIGHT SECURITY ON OUR ROADWAYS. I FOUGHT IN VIETNAM AND LOST A LEG IN BATTLE BUT I WILL NEVER FORGET SEPT 11 AS THE BLACKEST DAY IN AMERICAN HISTORY. I PRAY THAT WE WIPE OUT THOSE WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE AND ALL THE FANATICS THAT FOLLOW THESE TACTICS. TO ALL MY FELLOW RAM OWNERS HAPPY MOTORING WITH YOUR TURBO DIESELS.

Yes, Welcom Hot Rod. This is a great place to learn a lot about your truck. Just a question ... about how much was your truck? Just curious about prices. I have another topic on this board about a new truck for my friend here at work and am trying to dig up info for him.

new truck

Welcom Hot Rod,

I to just pick up a new CTD ram one month ago, I know the felling, This is my frist diesel. What a great truck. The TDR is a great site there is tons of great info. I have a house in Mahwah, N. J. , its nice to know someone near bye.

My buddy just picked up a 02 auto. No wheel well liners in the rear, also noticed his intercooler and trans coolers were silver and they stuck out like a sore thumb. The trans cooler seemed diff on my 99 auto than his. The A/C cond was silver also. He said the trucks were 3% less in 02. What are the other diffs? It also looked like a cruise control servo under his L battery and the hold downs were diff.

I havent looked at the interior of the 2002s just the exterior. No fender liners in rear,no tailgate moulding,no cabcorner side moulding,and some Ive seen didnt have a hood insulator. This was a 4x4.
