I am puzzled a bit, have had a truck camper on my truck for some time, it always leaned a little but I thought it was more weight on one side of the camper. I sold the camper, and the lean is still there!

I am puzzled over just what is causing this. It would appear that the passenger side front spring is weak perhaps, but could be something else. Anybody else have such a problem? (Truck has about 218k miles, two wheel drive one ton)

Suspect the springs have taken a "set" after a leaning load for so long - - Think it may be time for a visit to the spring shop

I agree with C. D. Day. Springs do get week over a period of time with a constant load on them. You might need to get the rear springs re-arced and the front coil springs replaced. It does happen when you've had a heavy load on the truck for a long period of time.

agree also, I had a '89 HD F-250 years ago and had a loaded security camper for it... camper leaned hard on the drivers side like 3" when on the truck ... my springs took a set to that, it always sat about 1" low on the left unloaded... keep in mind this was a 8800gvw rig it should not have bothered it one bit but it did, bugged the crap out of me to look at the truck crooked every day.

peace, B.

Be sure to check your A-arm bushings and ball joints. If the A arm bushings are wore, it can allow the arm to settle in towards the frame. You should notice the tire wearing and casting terribly. Otherwise, I'd say it's a spring or bent frame. Coil springs are easily found, and Super Springs makes an awesome replacement for Dodge applications, at a reasonable price, often less than the dealer charges for stock springs. SSC-21, I believe, 3900 lb capacity.

I have been using the truck some last couple of weeks, and it seems to "come and go". Ball joint rubbers rotted off some time ao, I am suspecting sticking ball joints or such. Truck has had an annoying vibration, that has defied a set of Centramatics and all new tires (and balanced). Think I will have a shop that specializes in vibrations and ball joints take a look.

Thanks for all the good suggestions.

Definately look at the A arm bushings and ball joints. I would also take a close look at your body mounts. If your A arm bushings are deteriorated, your body mounts are sure to follow. Good luck.
