Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
After 19 days, and the worst runaround of my life, I got my baby back yesterday. The service guy called and was happy to tell me yesterday that they actually ordered and received the proper transmission (like I was supposed to give him a medal for it or something). I was told that I could have my truck back at 2pm, but when he hadn't called at 5 I got ****** off and drove down to the dealership to give him hell. I found my truck parked in the lot (better than on the lift still), covered with dust, in a condition that it would never get in if I was taking care of it. He wanted me to wait for paperwork, but I told him to send it to me because I was too sick of that place to stick around.
I took the truck as fast as I could into the local mountains to run through the gears and push it a bit, and I'm happy to report that it's perfect, no gear clash, real smooth. I can't believe how much I missed sitting up high over traffic and hearing that turbo spool up.
As for the dealer, no props for holding my truck so long and barely managing to get it back to me one day before I take off on a two week vacation and 2200 mile trip. I'm just glad I got the thing back and don't have to try and stuff my Jet Ski in the back of that Geo they loaned me.
