Got my Geno's monster tip......Question??

My question is how far should it slid up my pipe? The farthest I can get it is to the end of the inside adapter thingee. Its hard to explain , should the original tail pipe come right to the end inside of the tip?
You know what im trying to say? I have it on but sticks out like a inch or so but its on real tight.

Sky, If you have it to the end of the inside adapter, you are on plenty far enough.
