Got my new 05!!!

I picked up my truck last night from Tommygun in St. Louis. Let me say it was the easiest car buying experience of my life, not that i have a lot of exprience. I ordered my truck i think feb 15 and it came in mar 23. a lot quicker than the 12-13 weeks he quoted. i am stationed in little rock and unfortunately i was on leave in baltimore visiting my girlfreind, so we rented a car and drove for what seemed like for ever, and then drove back to littlerock, via I-55 TO I-40. about 24 hours on the road. the truck is awsome. handles flawlessly. it is everything i expected. I can't get rid of my perma-grin. Tom is awsome if you want a great deal. let the mods begin!!

Congrats on the new ride... . I ordered mine on 1/26/05 and it still isn't here... If yours was Molten Red, a dually and a long bed, I'd accuse you of stealing mine...

Good for you! That grin stays there for quite awhile . Whoever Tommygun is, he seems to make his customers happy. I live in Arizona and had to drive to Ada, Oklahoma to get my truck because of the rip-off dealers here. Some of them even have cojones enough to put "Market Value Adjustment" rip-offs on top of their sticker prices :-{} . If I sold tractors the way they sell trucks I'd be broke inside a month.



It was a nice 1,000 mile drive back though pulling a big load of trailers with a new 100 gallon toolbox-tank combo installed in Dallas, a B&W Turnover installed by the dealer, and a Line-X. Great truck man.

My truck just got to Spokane ( 5:30 pm 3/26/05 ) It got on the train 3/10/05 in Larado Tx. took a side trip to Seattle, an extra 750 miles. I should be able to pick it up Tuesday---- I hope

Congrats!!! I got mine 2 days ago. I love it. I drove my `97 3500 to the desert today. I will miss that truck..... but the new ones is awesome!!! Let me know what mods you do.

Depends on what you order and what options might be on hold. I ordered my truck Jan 15 (a Saturday, which means it likely didn't enter the system til Monday Jan 17), truck was built Wed Feb 2, and arrived at the dealership Fri Mar 4... 7 weeks minus a day end to end. Inspected Sat Mar 5, took delivery Tue Mar 8.

i don't know how i got it so early. it was kind of bittersweet as i couldn't sell my tacoma in time, so now i have 2 trucks for the time being. the transmission is awsome, i havn't used low gear yet. heck i only stay in 2nd gear for a second. in about 600 miles i have only missed one shift. it shifts way better than the nv5600 i test drove in the fall. the clutch feel and shift smoothness is almost identical to my tacoma, i love it. i wish it weren't so low geared though. the engine is screaming at 80 mph. i guess i just need bigger tires.

Yup. The paperwork is all done. All I have to do now is give him the check and I get the keys. Oo. With the deal he gave me there won't be much left over for your commission.
