2013 and hesitating from a stop

Fully loaded, with the air suspension and even dual alternators. I did a spray in liner delete because I plan on chopping this bad boy in half and turning it into a long bed. I'll get a spray in liner once I get a new bed. :--) Damn this is a nice truck. Yes, I live in AZ, hence the shorts, flip flops, and tan. :-laf

Is there a break-in period? I just turned 100 miles on it. Was planning on towing with it tomorrow, though only ~7,000 lbs, and only about 25 miles.

You could have done a box delete also. I love that color combo! Hope you got the Aisin!!

Yup, got the Aisin. I didn't know I could delete the box. I had a difficult of enough time convincing the dealer that this color combo could be ordered. I don't think he had a mastery of his computer and web browser. Today I have to go cancel the other truck I ordered. I ordered the identical truck from two dealers. The first guy "forgot" to add one of the incentives before I signed...then after the fact he essentially told me to pound sand. So I told him, "that's unfortunate", and figured I'd leave it as a backup in case this truck (the one the dealer couldn't seem to operate his computer) turned out wrong (such as he ordered the wrong interior color or something). Some how it's going to bring me satisfaction pulling up in the new truck to cancel the order.

Picked mine up in Oklahoma, drove it home to, see signature, hooked the 5th wheel up the next week and went to Fla. Love the color enjoy the truck and you are right, they are Very Nice!!

Well, I do not see the box delete on the build system. On edit: It seems to vary depending on configuration. It is only -$400 bucks, so you can most likely get more selling it yourself. That color combo is listed only for the Longhorn, yet you do not have the color match steps like Cummins12V98 got??

NICE truck! You'll love it even more after a tow! Just hook it it up & pull. It's the fastest way break 'em in.

I've got 6k on mine with over 5k towing. (25k gross) I can tell it starting to run smoother and getting better milage.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I believe I recall seeing color matched steps on the pic he posted. Not sure why it's different...unless maybe my dealer "ordered" steps, which would have otherwise been included. Not sure. It's a non-issue for me regardless.

Now it's time to sell the 2nd gen. I'm thinking I should get decent money out of my '01. Only has 96k miles and is a 5-speed. 2nd gen trucks seem to hold their resale value, particularly with the manual.

The manual talks about waiting 500 miles to tow. Talks about not very much break-in needed. I've heard it's best on the rear differential to wait about 5000. But don't think it's written anywhere.

OP that really is a beauty! Only problem is the grin never leaves your face!

You have to specify the matching steps.

I am assuming that its a 2015. It's the same color and all as my truck only mines 2014 same truck. You will like the tow haul mode way more power than the 2nd gen trucks and mine wasn't stock.

Yup, it's identical to yours. If you recall you posted a pic of your truck in a thread last month. I saved YOUR pic to my phone and when people asked me what my new truck would look like, I showed them YOUR pic. :)

As for the steps, I did select the steps and I remember the dealer telling me the Long Horn already came with them...so there was some confusion there so something may have gotten checked wrong. Regardless, I'm just as happy with the chrome.

Trucks great, and pulls great. I had just under 200 miles when I hooked the trailer up. It wasn't my toy hauler, just my flat bed with my Jeep on it so it was only about 7k lbs anyway... and was about 25 miles on the freeway loaded, then 25 miles back with just the unloaded trailer (roughly 2k lbs unloaded).

Unfortunately I'm heading out of town on business for 10 days so it's going to now sit in the airport parking garage. I'll likely hook up to my 11k trailer when I get back to see how it does. I don't have anything anywhere near the 20k+ trailers like many of you pull with them. My main reason for this truck was to downsize my toy hauler to a large triple slide slide in camper (probably 4k+ lbs wet), and to pull the 7k trailer behind it. The large slide in camper is why I'm stretching the truck to a long bed. This large slide in is why I went with the air suspension option as I would have added after market to more comfortably handle the camper anyway.

Yeah I do remember, I just can be forgetful. Seems like they have a problem on the order not order the running boards I didn't order it with them was going to put other ones on it but just kept those. They aren't wide enough so wish I would have had them remove them. I pull a 39ft 5th wheel about 12k dry weight. And it pulled it like it wasn't even there. I went thru mountains on my way to Fort Bragg NC never and used the cruise control didn't even down shift for very long this new truck just kicks my old 98.5 ***. Got mine last july I've got about 8500 miles on it did one oil change so far. Have fun on your trips

I would too never been to May Madness. Last rally I went to was Scheid Diesel Extravaganza at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds in Terre Haute, Indiana.
And that was a very long time ago 99 or early 2000. Long drive from IL but I been there before. Maybe I can find someone from this way to travel with.

Lots of really nice people, and a surprising amount of things to learn about your truck. Good travel distance for a new truck from Gilbert, Az. too! <G> Check out the sign-up sheet and make your wishes known to "Simerly" both in the 21st Annual May Madness, 2015 forum (so Nancy will get you parked with the rest of the group).
