Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Got new FASS titanium, what's wrong with using the stock fuel filter?

The new FASS titanium came in, read instructions and it says to plumb directly to the injection pump, nothing about the fuel filter. I have a big line kit already installed so would it hurt to run through the stock filter as well or should I by pass it? Probably won't be able to tackle this til Saturday anyways

Run through it, works flawlees and you have a second safety WIF light.

*I am running through my stock set up with my AD100. Like Ozy says it offers a last line of defense with another filter and water seperator.*
