Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Flew down to Missouri yesterday to pick up the new truck.
Tom chaney picked me up at the airport (very considerate of him) and within about an hour and a half i was on the way home with the new truck.
Truck is great, unbelievable power compared to any CTD i have owned and seems even more powerful than my 6. 0 work trucks. The front end is a little softer too for a good ride. I didnt have any droans or vibrations at any rpm or in any gear. Great truck.
If i had to complain about anything it would be the seat being a little uncomfortable and the road noise, not engine or mechanical noise, just wind and tire noise. This road noise must be a chrysler issue since my wifes jeep sounds the same. I believe there is not enough insulation under the carpet or in the doors. Doesnt much matter though.
Overall, i couldnt be happier and this is one awesome truck. I really like the 6 speed. It was a little stiff at first and tough to get into gear but after a while it went in easier.
I averaged 17. 4 MPG on the 800 mile trip home with speeds from 55 mph to 85 mph.
