Got new truck !!!!!!

Nice truck Lawdog!! Can't wait to get 315s - wish the dealer offered an option on tires. Hey, did the fit on the stock rims ok and do the stick out beyond the fenders?

Yes they fit on the stock Aluminum wheels fine. They do not seem to stick out much if at all, but close. . I will definitely have to be getting some flaps soon. I checked with the dealer and they said the Anti-spray style flaps from the 2nd gen trucks are still avail. I am going that way and try to make them work. I do not like the molded style.



I also ordered the body side molding's, which are deleted on Sport models. I do not trust parking lots and want the extra protection of the molding's. . I might have also ordered a new Cummins fender badge to replace the SLT badge on the tailgate... . I will have to hold it up to see if I like it before I peel the other off though :-laf

I just click the "IMG" button every time I come to a spot I want to insert a pic. You do know the trick of posting first to your "Reader's Rigs" page, then copying the "forum codes" into the "IMG" tag, right? That let's you post bigger pics.

315's okay in slop

I've been running 315's for 45K miles year round and they have done well for me in the snow and slop of Oregon and Washington. I saved the stock ones for a long time but never felt the desire to put them back on. Eventually I sold them to another member.

I'd love to get the 315s, but after spending the $$$ I think my wife would not approve until I use up the new 265s first. Anyone want to buy my 265s?



That's one thing I don't like about the new trucks - 17" tires. Especially since I have a set of 285-75-16 BTF AT on my other truck that I bought new in January.



Selection is slim on 17" so far. I presume more and more companies will start making the soon. I wish they would make some 75 series in 17" - taller and not wider.



Anyone know how these 265-70-17 Rutted Trail tires perform in snow?

My friend at the tire store I deal with said they have a tighter tread that will pack with snow faster then the BFG A/T... ...
