I just pulled my intake horn off to start removing stuff to replace a blown tappet cover gasket, and I noticed that I have oil all over the inside of the intake, and up into the horn, and even down towards the intercooler. Could this still be caused by the blown tappet cover, or would this be something more? What would cause oil to spew into the intake like that?

Okay, update - I pulled the intercooler tubing off the turbo, and there was oil in there too, so, it must be coming from the turbo oil line. Is there an o-ring, or seal of some sort in the turbo that I would be capable of replacing that might cause this?

The only turbo Diesel engine I have seen do this is the VW Beetle TDI , my wifes Beetle car will have a handful of oil in the innercooler in 20k miles, I clean it all out and run it another 20K and do it again, the Techs at the dealer says that this is common on the VW TDi and her car does not smoke or use oil either?? so who knows?
