got smarty last night now i need advice on clutch

installed smarty last night and WOOOOOAAAAAA. wish i had done that sooner. well anyways the clutch will slip even on setting one if i stab the throttle to the floor. i usually just travel with family in truck and occassionally pull a trailer less than 10k. but in my quest for more power 550-600hp will be my limit. all mods in signature. thanks... kyle

I am very happy with my South Bend CLutch. It is a dual disc 3250 with 12 ceramic buttons and is good to around 600hp. Call Peter at SBC and give him your particulars he will set you up.

what do you plan on doing with your truck? towing? racing? or both? also what kinda horsepower do you plan on having?

hey schwartz is that dual disc as noisy as some claim? and did you upgrade with the 97 slave cylinder setup i've heard about? although i won't be sled pulling i do a little street racing here and there for bragging rights. maybe a few 3rd gear starts and some off and on trailer towing. 600hp should be the tops in my future, but i never thought that driving a 75 hundred pound hot rod could be so fun. LOL

Yes, it is loud, but I also am running a straight piped exhaust. I did not upgrade the slave cylinder.
