Lol

LOL I actually had one on my 3 cyl diesel lawnmower as a bottom turbo, an ht07 as a top turbo. 60 PSI :-laf , blew both turbos in the drive way they day before I left for Indy, needless to say I was Ticked off :{ . The fuzzy pic is blowing fire out the turbo if you look close. Its all painted nice now and has a hood around it to contain the shrapnel that flys when it blows apart. Now it just need nitrous and water/meth which is the winters project.

What pic?/

I appologize to my dialup connection  The only thing stupid in the whole equation was me... ... . here we go with the pics this time, the big turbo of the two is the same as the on e posted earlier ( I think). The smaller of the two is an IHI rhb3 which Is the same turbo that comes factory on a VENTRAC turbo diesel lawnmower, a chevy sprint, and who knows what else.

:-laf :-laf Great! I have a tractor pullin lawn mower I am building, I wish it was a diesel. It is an old Homelite T-15 i have no idea what year, I think 70s, it has an old 15hp B&S air cooled single cylinder and is being modded. It now has a VW Beetle carb on it (good for about 30-40hp) but I dont think it has that muchpower. It needs a ton of things before it can pull and does not pop wheelies like that. :D

What kind of mower is that? What kind of mods does it take to blow turbos and smoke?

the mower is a 79 bolens, came factory with that mitsubishi L3A 3cyl diesel and hydrostatic transmission. I cut the delivery valves, drilled the DV holders, threw away the fuel screw, and added a custom governor spring. The head has been ported and polished, heavier valve springs, and of course the twin turbos. the bottom end is 100% stock and the headgasket has never been oringed. No studs either. Its amazing that the things still together in my opinion. This winter its getting a manual cub cadet transmission, and a multiple disk clutch, instead of the hydrostat. Cousins have 2 cub cadet pulling mowers, both very strong runners in th stock class. Lawnmower pulling is getting really big around here, still no diesel classes though, so I pull exhibition. do you have a sactioned group you follow? or are you just building yours for fun? Whats the homelite look like? Ive never seen a homelite or a 15hp briggs.

I dont have any pics of my mower yet, Ill get some on the internet. I am building my mower for fun with a friend, but I am looking for some competion and have watched some in Pennsylvania at Rough & Tumble and I think that will be our first pull. I have heard of some other events but have to find out about them.

I got some pics of my old Homelite. It needs work and I am planning on repainting the whole thing. I am going to put a new steering wheel, air filter, and I have to mount the gas tank. Now I need to get some pictures of me riding it.
