got my recall notice in the mail yesterday, any tips on what to watch out for or questions to ask, just want to make sure its done right. also when a fuel filter starts getting dirty could it make an intermitent problem or loss of power? the last 2 days occasionally when I'm taking off there is no power for a few seconds then it takes off and is alright, boost gauge reads low when there is no power then climbs to normal when the power comes back. could this be a fuel filter problem? the filter has about 6k miles on it. thanks, Chris... ... ... .....

I agree with Scott 100%, many dealers will tell you that the TPS isn't adjustable, but it is.

Sounds like your power problem could be the turbo wastegate sticking open or the line to it leaking. If the dealer you go to is one of the few that will let you visit with the mechanic while he is working on your truck mention it to him, he'll probably check it out for free.

Also make sure you have full throttle and your idle is still where you want it. When they did mine the idle was soo low my wife killed it twice at intersections on the way home. She was lucky there was not an colision with other vehicles.

Azgearpro, the Recall #970 is for the throttle cable on '94 to '96 Diesels. You should get one. I have two trucks in this year range, and got one on both. My biggest problem was getting the dealer to make sure they had the parts before I brought the trucks to them. Sounds like a simple thing, but they twice told me to bring the truck in when the parts department didn't even have the recall parts!

If you did not get a recall, the dealer can do the work anyway. I would check with DC Customer Service to see that they have you listed as the owner of the vehicle. This will insure you get future recall notices.
