I finished with the install of my fiberglass fenders (front), and got them painted to match, I'm pretty happy with them. They fit better than I expected, but of course I think they could fit better. It'd be fun to know what you all think. There are more pictures in my readers rigs.

Sweet, I was thinking of doing the same thing! Which mfr. did you get the fenders from? Do you think you could squeeze some 37's on now?

With an after-market bumber you might be on to something! It might tame down the built out look that AM bumpers give. I like it.

I got the fenders from Glassworks Unlimited in CA. Their website is http://glassworksunlimited.com/ . I talked to a bunch of people before ordering them and found that most people think this manufacturer makes them with the best fit, and the best finish. They really didn't take much finishing before paint, which was nice.

I don't know if 37's will fit or not but I bet they would, my brother runs a set on his 3rd gen, I'll throw them on today and see if they do.

As far as the bumper goes, I would love to use this one for target practice, and I just might when I start my new one. My Off-Road club is buying a tube bender this month, and I hope to experiment with that to make a better looking bumper for the front. I'll let you know how it comes out.

Thanks for the link. PLEASE let me know if the 37's fit. I'm planning on the T-Rex suspension and doing some fender mod's to run 37's. I just don't think 35's are enough for a Club Cab longbed, the breakover angle is still too shallow for any serious off road use.

I got tied up yesterday, but I'll go out and look this morning, and then let you know. I'll be going through Phoenix this afternoon/evening, if you're going to be around and want to have a look, pm or email me through my 'profile page' with a phone # or something and we should be able to work something out.

I'd like to find a 1-piece fiberglass nose, like the 18wheelers have, either lift-off or tilt. That sure would make working on the engine easier. Just don't know what to do with all of the stuff mounted on the inner fenders.

Thanks. The manufacturer claims the "fiberglass components weigh 75% less than steel", and with the steel fenders weighing approximately 15-20 lbs each, I would guess I lost about 25-30 lbs. The front end comes off the ground a little bit now when I'm really getting on it!

Yep, I would buy the one piece front end as well Bill. When the fenders were off, during the install, I could walk right up to just about every part of the powerhouse. (pictures of this in my readers rigs)

Tilt front would be very cool. I am surprised no one has done this yet.

The 37's fit with quite a bit of room, but the tires I mounted to check (BFG all terrains) "looked" about 1/2 way gone, with 12/32's left and measure a true 36. 2" tall mounted, but I'm sure there is plenty of room with these fenders for a true 37" (after seeing the clearance with this set) maybe even to stuff a true 38" if you aren't going to be off-roading (this would be getting tight in the back also though I imagine). The only problem might be width, if they were mounted on much wider wheels, turning would get them real close to the back of the outer fender skin, at the bottom. Let me know if I need to clarify any of this.

Note though, my truck only has a leveling kit (2" above stock height in the front). With a lift (T-Rex or other) you could easily fit 37" or bigger tires.

wheel offset has a bunch to do with our trucks. I've read of guys NOT clearing 35s with 8" or 10" wheels, but I don't get too close with 37" BFG Mud on 17x8 Welds with 4. 625 backspacing... The tires sticking out is my biggest gripe, and that's only with the 8" wheels!

J. Steve, those fenders look great, been contemplating those myself.
