For 153K miles, my trusty steed has almost performed flawlessly.
But now, . . . . . Anything above 60 mph is causing the infamous vibrations. So much that the dash and various other parts are starting to squeek and rattle. At 70 mph, the rear view mirror is useless.
Just a few months back, I completely rebuilt the front end- Upper/lower ball joints(again), axle u-joints, hub/bearing assembly, updated steering linkage w/ pitman arm, steering stabilizer, Lukes Links, track arm bushings and installed BD steering brace.
Two weeks ago, I bought a brand new complete front drive line. At the same time I had the rear driveline rebuilt(again) and had both the new front and old rear rebalanced for safe measure.
Vibes started before the driveshaft rebuilds; This is what I thought was causing the vibes to begin with. No luck there!
Then I had the tires checked and rebalanced by two different tire shops. No luck there!
Next week, I'm hoping to get the truck on a Dyno. Maybe, . . . just maybe, we'll be able to come up with something.
But for now, the truck is parked!
