I've had speed bleeder's for 20 years, well okay, my version of a speed bleeder that has worked on race cars, trailers, clutch systems, etc...
The system consists of about 3 feet of 5/16 clear poly tubing, an 8 mm and 10mm flare nut wrench, and an empty quart bottle.
Drill two holes in the cap for the bottle, one the size of the tubing OD and one for a vent hole. Put the wrench on the bleeder screw, push the tubing over the bleeder, place the quart bottle and tubing higher than the caliper, open the bleeder screw 1/4 to 1/2 a turn.
The brake fluid will drain into the quart bottle thru the tubing and any air in the system will try to rise to the top meaning that it can not get back into the caliper. You can let this gravity drain on a freshly overhauled brake system or you can pump the brake pedal.
The trick brake bleeding system has two people so that you can open and close the bleeder screw at the appropriate time.
No need for fancy "speed bleeders" with check valves in them, just plain old clear plastic tubing!
