Got the stacks mounted!!!

Over the weekend, I finally got my straight 4" exhaust (turbo back) and dual 4" stacks installed. Man what a difference!! Faster spool up, EGT dropped tremendously, and it sounds/looks cool!.



Before, my exhaust temp would run about 850* - 900* empty. Now, I can't hit 750* at WOT! Most I'm yet to see in 720* at wot for extended periods.



I used a 5" Tee reduced to 4" all around and it acts like a small muffler. It's quieter than my 3" straight pipe. BTW I have no muffler here either



I'll try to post pictures as soon as I can borrow a digital camera.



The best part: Total cost of system including stacks and downpipe - $375

I can't wait to see yours. I too am Digital camera challenged (don't have one). I took my truck with its new stacks up by Bigsaint and he took pics of it, and posted it for me. It was in products/accessories and it was July 7th or 8th that he posted them. He liked it so much that we did a stack for him too. Both his and mine are 6". They sound so good. Muffler..... we don't need no stinking muffler!

I found the threads for the stacks.



First is Bigsaint's. His was done about two weeks after mine. Things came out very well with his because I already knew what I needed to do as far as fabrication goes.

This is mine. It was the prototype. A chunk of time was sunk into the thought and fabrication of the stack setup. I'm glad I did mine first. It made Bigsaint's a very well put together job.
