Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
So after blood, sweat and tears ( and long hours in the shop) I got the 97 to fire up and run like a champ. My problem was I had the timing on the pump to the engine Retarded instead of Advanced. I knew the books that I had gotten at Diesel School at the University of Northwestern Ohio were good for something other than start fires with!:-laf
