Took her in for steering wander and because I could see a little play in the trac bar ball joint. When I got it back they replaced the trac bar, drag link, one tie rod end, steering dampener, and the steering gear box. But I got to keep my steeering wheel  What dumba$$ invented the "lubed for life" system??? Sure is tight steering now - but for how long? These HIGH QUALITY components lasted almost 35,000!!!! Next week I'm gonna install zerks in all the ball joints. My neighbor's F**D got a totally new front end at 60,000 because of the lack of zerks and he had to pay himself - ouch!

Update:

51,000 miles, need a new trac bar ( not covered under DC's diesel wrap ) and got a new steering box (#3) today.

Someone posted that Napa had a Hi-line MOOG trac bar that was warrantied for life, but I cant find the post.

All the joints I added zerks to are still tight.

Sure glad I have a 5 Star Dealer to work with :)
