Seems when these trucks get 100k miles on them you might as well go through the whole front end. Around the 100k mark I replaced track bar, tie end rods, and stabilizer. I know, at 110k am on the Ball joints, Front Rotors, Front Shocks, and u-joints. Anybody got any suggestions on Brand names, or words of wisdom. I plan on keeping the truck so I'm going to get the top grade stuff. Thanks in advance.

I have almost 300k and the original ball joints are good. The tie rod ends are acceptable, the trackbar has been fine since the Linstad kit was installed at about 65k, The stock shocks needed replacing at about 40k, and I still have the original rotors that have only been turned once. I am on my third set of axle u-joints though. I don't know why but others I know of have no trouble with the axle u-joints but go thru ball joints. Go figure.

That said I figure its time to replace the most of the above items. Check out Rockauto.com and enter "TURBODIESEL" to get a discount.

guessing it has to do with maintanence and driving. I had to do the whole front end with in20k of buying my truck used. I have gotten 120k+ since with only replacing the front driveshaft joint, some idiot put it in so it could not be greased :( IAMOWS.

Now I belive mine could stand to have the four link bushings replaced as I can feel a slight pounding when I hit a bump driving down the road.

Knock on wood, but the only thing i have replaced under mine was to add a lukes link, and it didn't really need that. I have 160,000 miles on the truck and i drive the hell out of it. (forgot, i replaced front shocks when i put the leveling kit under it)Randy

Greasable tie rod and ball joints from Napa. I can't fit the grease fittings on the ball joints though so every 10K I remove the little plugs in them and install the fittings, grease and the remove fittings and replace with plugs. Thuren Fab trac bar. Greasable U joints in front axle from Napa(spicer, tapped by me). Front dshaft is custom 1350 Ujoint setup with greaseable joints and sleeve(Spicer parts, you can tap the Ujoint caps for grease fittings).
