Salt Lake City area info.

Just purchased a Diesel Jetta 2 weeks ago and had to fill the tank for the first time today. Got 43. 3 MPG. I think I like this :-laf

They are cool little cars. My wife drove one for 6 years. Had hardly any problems and got over 40 on the highway, and over 50 if staying under 60 on the flats. Went to get a new one in 04, but they were not available in CA anymore.

Here is a fun place to waste some time learning more about your new car.

I love ours, the Beetle and the Jetta. Just got back from a 1250 mile business trip through Montana and Wyoming and averaged 38 MPG running 75-80 MPH in the Jetta. The little turbo diesel pulled the mountain passes very well and did not downshift like a gasser would.

If its an 05 or 06 jetta, don't trust the MPG on the dish, unless you adjust the ECM with VAGcom, its reads as far as 7 mph high!

Fred's is a nice place. I been a member there before coming here. There is more knowledge at Freds then at the VW dealer.
