gov press solenoid and sensor TSB

I finally got my truck in for the 1-2 hunt shift that was driving me nuts. Took it to local dealer and they told me it is/was the TSB for the Gov Press solenoid. I will not get the truck back till next week as it is the holiday weekend. I found out that there was hardly any ATF in the pan and nothing on the dipstick. I got lucky on this one! I am going to have them do the transmission service while it is in there. Hopefully it won't cost me too much to have the service done.

Beware the TSB has had a history of fixing the shuttle shift for only a little while then it comes back,has on my truck and read that many others have had it come back. Sucks they cant seem to fix what they build.

band adjustment

The service tech told me he will be adjusting the bands as well. The next time the transmission is due for change I will do the conversion kit for the solenoid I found/ saw on another thread. I believe it is from GM.
