How tight can you go with the factory springs(how many clicks)? How many clicks is the factory setting?

Each pump is setup by Cummins for a certian flow range. The # of clicks from factory is not always the same. You can go 1 click definitely and on some you can go 2 clicks. Past this you will start preloading the large outer gov. spring which sets the idle. If you go 2 clicks and your idle changes you should go back a click.

Piers instructions for the kit has some good pictures. I did mine this week. Took about 1. 5-2 hrs. to do. Call/E-mail Piers. I think his instruction are a PDF and he can e-mail them to ya. If that doesn't work, let me know, I'll fax it to ya.
