I did the AFC springs, GS4K, and #10 plate today and now I can't get it to idle. I know I need to adjust the idle but where the heck is the adjustment? Apparently there is a 10mm nut that you have to back off then adjust the screw but I can't find where it is.

More importantly, when I pulled the old gov springs out there were some shims on the outside (under the inner springs) of the spring seat and then some underneath the spring seat. I took all of them out but in reading on here I am beginning to think I should have left the shims under the spring seat in there.

I am hoping to have this thing running again tomorrow please help.

and the answer is.

Thanks a lot, I just found the answers as well.

This should help others in the future.

The two shims under the spring seat should be left in place. On mine there was one that was a wide shim and another that was much thinner, this seams to be the norm, they both should stay in.

As to adjusting the idle

I hope this helps someone else.
